Low-friction coatings in the medical field

Fluoropolymer coatings are used in numerous medical applications, particularly in catheters and tubing for medical devices. At APS, we apply these thin coatings, ranging from 4 to 6 microns, even inside very narrow tubes, ensuring a homogeneous application.

In-house adhesion tests for our coatings

We conduct in-house testing to guarantee the durability of our coatings.
We perform tensile tests according to ASTM C633 to test the adhesion of applied coatings.
At APS-METRASUR-LORILLEUX, these tests are carried out directly in-house, from the very first production runs, to meet the requirements of the most critical applications, such as those in the aerospace and defense sectors.
