APS Coating Solutions is involved in an ambitious collaborative research project coordinated by the Cetim – Centre technique des industries mécaniques – Carnot MICA alliance and with three CNRS laboratories (Laboratoire d’Innovation Moléculaire et Applications (LIMA), IS2M – Institut de Science des Matériaux de Mulhouse, Institut Charles Sadron).

The objective, in line with our group’s raison d’être, is to develop anti-friction coatings as alternatives to fluorinated polymers without compromising on performance.

Our role: to define concrete use cases, compare performance with existing solutions and prepare for the industrialization of future coatings.

Planned to last 4 years, this program will be based on 3 doctoral theses, representing a total investment of approximately €900,000.
